The M4 Sherman tank played a major role in the liberation of the Brabantse Wal in October 1944. For the celebration of 75 years of liberation in Bergen op Zoom, a 1 on 1 replica of this tank was made. The base is an old lawn mower. And further it is made of wood, sheet steel, iron and Paverpol. The tank was built by the Decorbouw Groot Arsenaal Foundation in Bergen op Zoom.
The plane is a full-size replica of a Spitfire. As with the tank, Paverpol is also used in the plane. This plane is going to the aircraft museum Seppe, in the Netherlands.
Artist Katinka Krijgsman makes these Delft Blue plates (with a diameter of almost 1 meter!) using Paverpol, after which she paints them with oil paint.
Years ago, artist Nelly Fredriksz was looking for new challenges. As she herself says: "Bigger, also for outside, so weatherproof. When I came across “Paverpol” the unlimited possibilities quickly became clear to me." Nelly has now made many projects with Paverpol.
